Exact OEM replacement
I had bought a generic replacement at Lowes, but the bracket it would not fit properly (resulting in the block not being rigidly positioned and making the re-insertion of the cooking coil difficult). This is because on various rangetop models, the bracket was attached with a screw either horizontally or vertically.
This product came with both brackets for either orientation. If one inspects the parts closely, it is obvious that they are identical to the original.
I did run into a problem with assemblying the wired contacts into the plug-in block because their were no instructions or diagrams. It took me an hour to figure out that the contacts had to be inserted into the block from the rear and then would be locked into position. (I had tried to insert the contacts from the front)

WORKED! Wires were longer than i needed(better than to short),straight forward replacement,has extra clip for two styles of holders. Im happy.

I have a 4 burner kenmore stop top with center griddle from the early 1980s. It's an excellent OLD stainless steel cooktop that I was given by my father when he remodeled his kitchen. I had been using the stove for about 10 years when the contacts finally wore out on the front right corner unit.
I ordered this part at quite a discount compared to what sears wanted for the same part. It shipped quickly and I installed the part within minutes of arrival.
Keep in mind, my mechanical and electrical skills are above average, but I think anyone with common sense could replace one of these. Turn off the circuit breaker before performing the service, for safety's sake.
The contacts fit neatly with the burner unit, I've been using this for about 6 months now without issue. The wires were plenty long enough to reach the controls, the blade type connectors fit perfectly. I used some zipties to make a clean installation. I'm very happy with this repair...
