Fair product, but photos misleading
This is a relatively decent unit for the price. Not especially well made, but adequate with a generous interior volume for the size. A little loud in operation, partly because the thin metal outer box amplifies vibration. Choice of this model was based chiefly on the dimensions. It seems to be one of only a few models from any brand of this particular height, which was needed to accommodate some non-standard home-made cabinetry. Only disappointment with the product is the LED display. The units shipped do not have the same blue color 'oversized display' shown on Amazon's product photos. The actual display is green, smaller, dimmer, and does not have the radial progress-bar shown in the photos. This had been a feature that first attracted me to this model so it was annoying to find this different. The wider keys on the keypad also only have the same touch contact area as the smaller keys. If you have thick fingers, expect a bit of fumbling with these controls.
Beware Misleading Amazon Description
I like the size and appearance of this RCA product, and it seems to heat foods well. However, the controls are much less convenient than my previous microwave (which died). The Amazon description says it has "6 x one touch functions" but in fact all of the cooking functions require more than one button to be pressed. On my last microwave, if I wanted to cook something on high for 2 minutes (or 3 minutes, 4 minutes, etc) I only had to push one button; on this microwave, I must press four buttons. My previous microwave also had a "30 second" cook button that I miss on this one. RCA could have easily incorporated these one-touch shortcuts without the expense of additional buttons.
Great Microwave for the price
Bought this oven for my grandparents. They didn't want a big one and wanted something that could be delivered quickly to their house. The Item arrived as promised overnight, works great.
Pro: Works great no issues, small space , relatively easy to use, big display (they are loosing eyesight it is important)
Con: they were used to add 30 seconds button this particular one does not have any. there is a relatively easy work around pizza button adds 1 minute automatically.
overall very happy with the purchase
